Tiger Jeet Singh injures fan with sword during Japan appearance

During Megumi Kudo’s 40th Anniversary event at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Shibuya, Japan, 82-year-old wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh injured a fan with a sword during his entrance.

While making his way to the ring as a special observer, Singh broke away from his son and grandson and ran toward the audience while swinging his signature saber. Although his son managed to restrain him, Singh accidentally struck a fan in the forehead. Ringside medical staff attended to the individual, who was subsequently transported to a hospital via ambulance. It has since been reported that the fan sustained only minor injuries.

At a post-show press conference, Megumi Kudo issued an apology, stating, “I believe there were shortcomings in our corner team setup. I deeply apologize for injuring the fans who came to enjoy the show.” She added that the organization would take all necessary steps to address the incident.
