Tiger Woods receives five-year license suspension after Florida crash plea
Golf superstar Tiger Woods has entered a plea agreement regarding a March 2026 car accident in Florida. Woods pleaded no contest to reduced charges of reckless driving and refusing to submit to a lawful chemical test.
The agreement follows an incident on Jupiter Island where Woods’ Land Rover clipped a truck and rolled onto its side. While a breathalyzer test showed no alcohol, Woods refused a urine test. Authorities reported finding two hydrocodone pills in his pocket and noted signs of impairment, including bloodshot eyes and lethargy.
As part of the settlement, Woods will have his driver’s license suspended for five years and must pay fines totaling approximately $1,500. Judge Darren Steele warned Woods that any further driving violations would result in immediate imprisonment. Woods, who previously pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence, has since focused on his health and medical treatment.
