Tigo and BCP lead Bolivia's Constructive Capital Index 2026
Tigo Bolivia and Banco de Crédito (BCP) have achieved the highest possible rating of AAA+ in the 2026 Constructive Capital Index (ICC) Bolivia. The study, conducted by the Milenio Foundation with support from the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and technical collaboration from the Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB), evaluates how private companies contribute to the country's economic and ethical development.
Tigo Bolivia secured the top position in the index with a global score of 97.2 out of 100, achieving a perfect score of 100/100 in the pillars of Investment and Integrity. BCP was also among the eight companies to reach the maximum AAA+ rating, noted specifically for its strengths in capital reinvestment, economic sustainability, and corporate governance practices.
The index analyzed 45 major companies across various sectors using 13 indicators across three dimensions: investment, integrity, and impact. While the report highlights progress in transparency policies and corporate governance among Bolivian firms, it notes that the primary challenge remains demonstrating that these mechanisms produce verifiable results.
