Tigre Municipality distributes 100 pairs of eyeglasses to public school students

The Municipality of Tigre has distributed 100 pairs of eyeglasses to students in public primary schools located in El Talar and Don Torcuato. This distribution was carried out through the “Para Verte Mejor” program, which aims to detect visual difficulties in first and sixth-grade students to support their educational development.

Led by the Secretary of Education and Social Promotion, Gisela Zamora, the initiative visited several institutions, including Primary School No. 45 in El Talar and Primary Schools No. 22, 32, and 37 in Don Torcuato. Local officials noted that the program provides essential economic relief for families who may lack health insurance.

Operating since 2008 as part of the School Health Program (PROSANE), “Para Verte Mejor” is a collaborative effort between the municipal secretariats of Health and Education, the Volkswagen Foundation, and Óptica Tigre Visión. Since its inception, the program has provided more than 16,000 pairs of glasses.
