Tigre Municipality launches Women's Council

The Municipality of Tigre has held the first plenary meeting of its Women's Council, an initiative established under Ordinance No. 259/19. The council aims to foster community participation and develop new public policies and institutional projects to address the specific challenges faced by women in the district.

The meeting, held at the Honorable Concejo Deliberante, brought together a diverse group of participants, including municipal employees, firefighters, police officers, entrepreneurs, and community workers. Attendees engaged in debates regarding social justice, political participation, rights, gender, and equality.

Local officials, including Gisela Zamora, Secretary of Education and Social Promotion, and Nadia Olivieri, Secretary of Women, Gender, and Children, emphasized the importance of elevating local voices to design strategies for the current social climate.
