Tigre takes on Nacional in Montevideo Copa Sudamericana opener

Argentine side Tigre will travel to Montevideo to play the first leg of their Copa Sudamericana knockout tie against Uruguay's Nacional on Tuesday evening at Gran Parque Central. The match kicks off at 19:00 local time, with the stadium opening its gates at 17:00 and strict CONMEBOL security protocols in place, including bans on large flags, umbrellas and other items that could obstruct visibility.

Tigre arrived in Uruguay after a disappointing exit from the Copa Argentina, seeking to revive their continental hopes. In the group stage of this year's Sudamericana they suffered only one defeat and topped their group, though they have won just one of their last five games in all competitions. Nacional, despite being relegated from the Libertadores group stage, have a solid record at home against Argentine clubs in this competition and aim to capitalize on their recent home form.

Both clubs will look to secure a favorable result that could decide the tie, with the return leg scheduled for the following week in Argentina.
