Tigres official eyes André-Pierre Gignac for administrative role

Víctor Manuel Vucetich, sporting vice president and interim coach of Tigres, has expressed interest in bringing former player André-Pierre Gignac into the club's administrative structure. Vucetich stated that Gignac represents the institution's values and that his transition to a management role would be of great benefit to the club.

While Vucetich emphasized that Gignac belongs to Tigres, he noted that no formal offer has been made and that any such move must be handled gradually, depending on the right circumstances. This potential transition follows Gignac's professional playing career, which concluded with a tribute from fans during the Clausura 2026.

The proposal comes as Tigres navigates a difficult period in the Apertura 2026 tournament, currently sitting in 15th place.
