Víctor Manuel Vucetich nears deal to manage Tigres UANL

Tigres UANL is reportedly close to finalizing an agreement with experienced manager Víctor Manuel Vucetich to lead their new institutional project. This move follows unsuccessful negotiations with several high-profile candidates, including Quique Setién, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, Juan Carlos Osorio, Óscar Pareja, and Marcelo Gallardo.

Vucetich, who most recently managed Mazatlán FC in 2025, has a significant history in Liga MX with five league titles. His potential appointment is expected to spark debate due to his successful past with local rivals Rayados de Monterrey. If the deal is completed, it would mark Vucetich's third stint with the Tigres bench.
