Tijjani Reijnders transfers from Manchester City to Al-Qadsiah

Dutch international midfielder Tijjani Reijnders has moved from Manchester City to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah FC for a transfer fee of approximately 61 million euros. The 28-year-old signed a five-year contract that reportedly provides him with an annual salary of 20 million euros.

Reijnders has been candid about his motivations for leaving elite European football, citing financial security for his family. He stated, “Once my playing career is over, I do not want to have to work again,” adding that the contract ensures the financial future of his descendants. He also noted that while European clubs showed interest, they were unable to meet the transfer fee demanded by Manchester City.
