Tijuana educational institutions implement new pedagogical and leadership models

Educational authorities and institutions in Tijuana are implementing diverse pedagogical approaches to enhance student development. Marko Díaz, president of the Asociación de Escuelas Particulares de Tijuana (ADEPT), is promoting the ‘Pedagogía del Despertar’ model. This method, which has been in use since 2018, focuses on individual student skills, emotional development, and values such as honesty and respect rather than strictly academic content.

Simultaneously, the Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) – Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana held a leadership training course titled ‘Educational Leadership: Transforming with Humanism and Social Justice.’ Led by Sergio Octavio Rosales Aguayo, the program aimed to strengthen institutional leadership through a humanistic lens to promote integral education and social responsibility among faculty and administrative staff.
