Tijuana establishes accessibility and inclusion council

The Tijuana City Council has formally established the Transversal Table for Accessibility and Inclusion. This permanent consultative body is composed of municipal public servants with disabilities from various departments.

Mayor Abdiel Gutiérrez Coronado stated that the initiative aims to address historical gaps in accessibility caused by the city's rapid growth. The table will serve as a space for collaboration to transform proposals into concrete actions, including new regulations, programs, and public policies. The goal is to create a more inclusive and accessible municipal administration by utilizing the direct experiences of employees with disabilities to identify and remove existing barriers.
