Tijuana family denounces authorities over missing teen's placement
In Tijuana, the family of 13-year-old Axel Fabyan Blanco Domínguez has denounced the State Prosecutor's Office (FGE) and DIF authorities for preventing contact between the minor and his mother following his recovery.
Axel went missing on August 19 from the Villa del Real neighborhood. After being reported missing, he was reportedly located by a local family in the Insurgentes neighborhood in the early hours of August 20. Instead of immediately contacting authorities, the family that found him allegedly kept the teenager for nearly three days.
Following his recovery, the minor was placed in a DIF shelter. The boy's mother, Nayeli Domínguez, claims she has been denied phone calls, recent photographs, or in-person visits. She also challenged a document alleging the minor stated he did not want to return home due to alleged abuse by his mother and stepfather. The family is demanding proof of life and clarity regarding the boy's current status and the circumstances of his placement.
