Tijuana hosts entrepreneurship fair as Punta Umbría explores electronic music history
Tijuana will host the ‘Hecho en Tijuana’ fair on August 29 and 30 along Avenida Revolución. The event features 50 local entrepreneurs showcasing products ranging from artisanal crafts and fashion to natural cosmetics and processed foods. Organized to highlight the ‘Tijuana seal,’ the fair aims to connect local producers with distributors and retailers through direct sales, live demonstrations, and B2B networking.
In addition to the marketplace, a series of conferences will be held at various venues, including Teorema and the Museo del Taco. Speakers will discuss topics such as brand positioning, distribution channels, financing for small businesses, and cross-border logistics.
Meanwhile, in Punta Umbría, the Mosquito Club will host a presentation for the book ‘El trueno que sigue al rayo’ by Pedro José Mariblanca Corrales. The work explores the recent history of dance music in Spain following the decline of the ‘Ruta’ movement. The event includes a roundtable discussion with local electronic music figures to discuss the past, present, and future of clubbing in southern Spain.
