Tijuana hosts major sporting events, including tractor‑truck competition and baseball series

The fifth edition of the MT Noroeste tractor‑truck competition took place on July 25 at Estadio Chevron in Tijuana, featuring 53 operators from Tijuana, Tecate, Ensenada, Mexicali, Hermosillo and Nogales. The event was attended by Tijuana Mayor Abdiel Gutiérrez Coronado and Alfonso Millán of the National Chamber of Freight Transport, who highlighted the competition’s role in recognizing driver skill and promoting the logistics sector.

Meanwhile, the Toros de Tijuana baseball team, leaders of the North Zone in the Mexican League, opened their final two home series of the regular season at Estadio del Cerro Colorado. They will host the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna from Tuesday to Thursday, followed by the Acereros de Monclova on the weekend, as the team seeks to secure its postseason position.
