Tijuana launches digital kiosk for corruption complaints

The city of Tijuana has launched the first Digital Kiosk designed to receive complaints regarding potential corruption by public officials. Inaugurated by Syndic Procurator Teresita Balderas Beltrán and CONCANACO SERVYTUR President Octavio de la Torre de Stéffano, the tool allows citizens to file reports simply, confidentially, and anonymously.

The kiosk is located at the Hotel Nelson in Tijuana's downtown area. It enables users to register facts, attach documentary or photographic evidence, and track the progress of their files. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen transparency and promote a culture of legality between the government, the business sector, and society.

The move comes amid data from INEGI's National Survey of Government Quality and Impact, which indicates that corruption cost Mexicans nearly 25 billion pesos in a single year, with 6.9 million people falling victim to corrupt acts during public services or procedures.
