Tijuana launches youth development and community center projects
Tijuana municipal authorities have launched new initiatives aimed at youth development and violence prevention. Mayor Abdiel Gutiérrez Coronado led a civic event at Escuela Secundaria General No. 31 to promote civic values and community participation among students. This effort is supported by the federal government through the Peace and Security Table.
Additionally, construction has begun on the ‘México Imparable’ Community Center in the San Antonio de los Buenos district. This project is a coordinated effort between federal, state, and municipal governments. The center is designed to provide spaces for sports, culture, and mental health services to strengthen the social fabric and offer opportunities for local youth. Miguel Torruco Garza, Undersecretary of Violence Prevention, noted that addressing youth needs is a federal priority.
