Tijuana municipal offices to close Monday for union anniversary

The Tijuana municipal government will suspend public services at central offices, delegations, and paramunicipal agencies on Monday, October 26, 2026. The closure is a scheduled day off for base, trust, and fixed-term employees to commemorate the anniversary of the Sindicato de Empleados de los Poderes del Estado, Municipios e Instituciones Descentralizadas de Baja California (S.E.P.E.M.I.D.B.C.).

While the official anniversary falls on Tuesday, October 27, the day off has been moved to Monday. Administrative operations and public assistance windows will resume their normal schedules on Tuesday, October 27.

To ensure the continuity of indispensable functions, departments responsible for essential services must organize operational shifts to maintain coverage for the population during the suspension.
