Ensenada authorities rescue two-year-old found wandering alone

Authorities in Ensenada, Baja California, rescued a two-year-old child found wandering alone and unsupervised in the Maneadero district. Following a citizen report, agents from the Escuadrón Violeta of the Fuerza Estatal de Seguridad Ciudadana (FESC) located the child, who was wearing only a diaper, on Lázaro Cárdenas Street.

Upon investigation of a nearby residence where the child was taken, officials discovered an unsanitary environment characterized by significant trash accumulation and dogs infested with ticks. The woman occupying the home claimed to be caring for the child temporarily but could not provide identification for the minor or information regarding the parents.

The child has been placed under the protection of the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) while investigations proceed to locate the parents and determine legal responsibilities for negligence.
