Tikhir community leaders reach reconciliation agreement

Leaders within the Tikhir community have reached a reconciliation agreement to resolve internal disputes and misunderstandings regarding tribal leadership. The meeting, convened by the Tikhir Baptist Biti Atukhianti (TBBA) Peace Mission Team, took place at the Tikhir Baptist Church in Kiphire Town.

Chaired by TBBA president M Tsulimthong, the session brought together the Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) led by P Timong and a group led by RT Kius. As part of the resolution, the RT Kius team agreed to cooperate fully with the TTC.

The agreement declares all previous tribal and organizational actions—including suspensions, expulsions, FIRs, citizen disownment, and court petitions—as “null and void” and effective for immediate withdrawal. The resolution further prohibits the use of social media or public platforms to defame or mislead the community, warning that any individual attempting to create division will face stern action.
