TikTok LIVE enables monetization in Dominican Republic

The SMA Talents Summit 2026, held in Santo Domingo, brought together content creators, digital agencies, and platform representatives to discuss the evolving digital economy. A major highlight of the event was the announcement by TikTok LIVE representatives, Paula Bernasconi and Enrique Quintero, that monetization via TikTok LIVE is now available in the Dominican Republic.

Representatives from YouTube and Google also participated, providing insights into digital growth and new content creation models. The summit included panels on marketing, entrepreneurship, and digital influence, with involvement from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs and the Ministry of Youth. Additionally, SMA Group director Eligio Reyes launched his book, ‘Marketing sin Filtro’, during the event.
