TikTok network uses paid influencers to target Trump

A Republican activist has identified a coordinated network of newly created TikTok accounts operating in the United States. The network reportedly uses paid influencers to spread scripted, anti-Trump and anti-MAGA messages.

According to the report, some of these accounts appear to be entirely fictitious, with users pretending to be local voters to stir public sympathy by inventing stories of financial hardship and job loss. The strategy involves accounts that suddenly become politically active, delivering nearly identical messages. One recurring element noted in the clips is the opening phrase, ‘I spoke with a friend in Europe.’

The operation is being compared to previous political influence tactics seen in Romania, where similar patterns of sudden, highly coordinated political messaging were observed on the platform.
