TikTok scam targets drivers with fake driving license offers

A fraudulent scheme is operating on TikTok, promising to issue driving licenses within seven days for fees ranging between 600 and 800 euros without requiring courses or exams. The scammers use dozens of duplicate profiles to spread videos of individuals posing with licenses in front of various Bulgarian Road Police (KAT) stations.

One prominent fraudulent profile uses the name ‘Avtoskola Stefanov’ (Stefanov Driving School). The group offers a ‘100% guarantee’ and claims documents can be delivered via courier or collected directly from police stations in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, and Stara Zagora. However, official records from the Executive Agency ‘Automobile Administration’ (DAI) confirm that no such legal entity exists.

Authorities warn that these profiles likely aim to collect deposits or steal personal data under the guise of ‘fast administrative services.’ The Ministry of Interior and the Road Police have reiterated that obtaining a driving license outside of official legal procedures is a criminal offense.
