TikTok Shop expansion drives logistics demand in Mexico
The expansion of TikTok Shop in Mexico is driving significant changes in the country's logistics and fulfillment sectors. Following its official launch in February 2025, the platform's social commerce model—where users purchase products directly through videos and live streams—is creating sudden spikes in demand.
To manage the volatility caused by viral content, businesses are increasingly adopting urban fulfillment networks. These networks involve storing inventory in locations closer to major consumption zones to reduce delivery times and handle rapid order increases. This shift comes as Mexico's e-commerce market reached a value of 941 billion pesos in 2025, with approximately 77.2 million digital buyers.
