TikTok Shop launches in Poland, boosting discovery‑driven beauty e‑commerce
TikTok Shop officially began operating in Poland, introducing a discovery‑centric shopping model that lets users purchase products directly within the TikTok app. The service integrates four buying pathways—product tags in the "For You" feed, live‑stream sales, brand‑profile collections, and a dedicated ShopTab—so consumers can click on items shown in videos, live broadcasts or brand pages and complete the purchase without leaving the platform.
Polish merchants can join the TikTok Shop ecosystem through a seller centre, joining a European network that already hosts over 100,000 sellers and close to 100 million users. The launch features a mix of global and local brands, including L’Oréal, Eveline Cosmetics, Modivo and others, spanning categories such as beauty, fashion and lifestyle. Creators can also earn commissions through an affiliate programme, linking content creation with direct sales.
The rollout occurs amid rapid growth of beauty e‑commerce in Europe, where TikTok Shop has become one of the fastest‑expanding channels, challenging established players like Amazon. Analysts note that the platform’s "discovery commerce" model drives higher conversion rates, especially for cosmetics and skincare products, by coupling product exposure with engaging short‑form content.
