TikTok theory explores the concept of the October canon event

A viral theory on TikTok suggests that October is the month of the ‘October canon event,’ a concept where individuals experience inevitable, life-altering occurrences. This theory posits that the month brings significant personal shifts, such as unexpected breakups, the end of friendships, or existential crises, which serve as essential milestones for personal development.

The term ‘canon event’ originated from the film ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ referring to unavoidable experiences that shape a character's journey. According to the trend, these events—while often difficult or painful in the moment—are necessary components of an individual's personal history and growth.
