TikTok user films interior of house where Venezuelan criminal 'Diablo' was captured

A TikTok user posted a video after entering the home in San Bernardino de Sarapiquí where the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) seized Alejandro Arias Monge, alias “Diablo”, during a tactical operation. The operation, carried out on 24 July, involved a firefight between OIJ agents and armed occupants and also resulted in the capture of Jonathan Pérez Méndez, alias “Tan”.

The OIJ’s interim director, Michael Soto, warned that the TikTok user could face legal action for trespassing and that the property no longer holds investigative value because authorities have already collected evidence. Soto added that the unauthorized entry could expose the individual to danger from remaining criminal associates. The video shows bullet‑punched walls, opened mattresses, and a shell casing the user claimed to keep as a souvenir.
