TikToker Cường Tày fined 12.5 million VND in Lào Cai for false claim about Vietnam Fatherland Front

The police of Phúc Lợi commune in Lào Cai province imposed an administrative fine of 12.5 million VND on Lương Mạnh Cường, known online as TikToker Cường Tày. The penalty followed a TikTok video posted on 23 July in which he alleged that money transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front would be “eaten up,” a statement authorities said was unfounded and could damage the Front’s reputation and stir public disorder.

Cường Tày acknowledged the post, removed the content, apologized to the Fatherland Front and the online community, and pledged not to repeat the offense. The fine was issued under Decree 174/2026/NĐ‑CP governing administrative violations.
