TikToker Mirabel returns to social media after false rape claim
Nigerian TikToker Nsikak Abigail, known as Mirabel, has returned to social media following a months-long absence. Her return follows a major controversy involving a false rape allegation she made in February 2026.
In February, Mirabel claimed an unidentified man broke into her home in Ogijo, Ogun State, and sexually assaulted her. However, after her claims faced scrutiny, she admitted to social media activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, that the allegations were untrue. She confessed to creating a fake account for the alleged attacker and stated she was not thinking clearly due to drug use at the time.
Following her admission, Mirabel was taken into police custody and subsequently placed in a rehabilitation program. In her recent return to TikTok, she addressed her followers, stating, “I survived, so I’m awaiting your hate comments,” and shared that she is “out of therapy but not healed.”
