Tilisuna area named Austria’s most beautiful place

The Tilisuna area in the Montafon region of Vorarlberg has been crowned Austria’s most beautiful place in the ORF television show ‘9 Plätze – 9 Schätze’. The selection was made via telephone voting by the public and a jury on October 26, 2026.

Located at an altitude of over 2,000 meters in the Gampadel valley near Tschagguns, the Tilisuna area is recognized for its natural, undeveloped landscape. This victory marks the fifth time the state of Vorarlberg has won the title in the 13-year history of the competition.

Other notable locations recognized in the program include Kufstein Fortress in Tyrol, which was highlighted for its 800-year history and status as a major tourist attraction.
