Tillabéri Region Achieves 100% Childhood Vaccination Coverage
The Governor of Niger's Tillabéri Region, Colonel Maïna Boukar, chaired an evaluation meeting on 29 July 2026 for the July national vaccination days. The campaign reported 100 % coverage, reaching the target of 1,160,295 children aged 0–59 months across camps, hamlets, neighborhoods, villages and towns. Boukar praised the coordinated effort of administrative and customary authorities, community and religious leaders, technical and financial partners, health workers, the national coordinator, supervisors, NGOs, civil‑society groups, media and community relays.
The governor highlighted that despite field constraints, the outreach successfully sensitised parents and guardians, ensuring every child in the region received immunisation.
