Tillo light phenomenon illuminates İsmail Fakirullah tomb

In the Tillo district of Siirt, Turkey, the historical light phenomenon involving the tomb of İsmail Fakirullah occurred again during the equinox. The event features a 262-year-old light mechanism designed by İbrahim Hakkı, which allows the first rays of the rising sun to illuminate the head of his teacher, İsmail Fakirullah.

Following morning prayers, a program organized by the Tillo District Governorate under the auspices of the Siirt Governor's Office was held in the district square. The event, which lasted approximately five minutes starting at 06:20, was attended by local residents and visitors from various provinces. Participants observed the phenomenon via a large screen and recorded the moment on mobile phones.

Siirt Governor Kemal Kızılkaya described the mechanism as both an engineering marvel and a symbol of loyalty and respect. He noted that the event demonstrates the harmony between science and faith, as well as the connection between human intellect and nature.
