TILT trio closes third Inlingua festival in Rome
The third edition of Inlingua, a free cultural festival dedicated to Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures, concluded on September 27 at Parco Tevere Marconi in Rome. The closing event featured a performance by the Lebanese trio TILT, consisting of Samah Boulmona, Farah Kaddour, and Ali Hout.
The concert offered a musical journey ranging from classical Arabic music and Levantine folk traditions of Lebanon and Syria to contemporary styles. The trio utilized specialized instruments, including an accordion adapted for the Arabic deimaqām system to execute quarter tones, the Arabic buzuq, and various percussion instruments.
Promoted by Pontedincontro APS and supported by Cultural Pro ETS, the Inlingua festival ran from September 11, featuring concerts, workshops, and radio activities. The project aims to highlight the cultural diversity and diasporic communities within Rome.
