Tim Clark targets third Rowley Mile win on Punch Lane

Jockey Tim Clark is aiming for a third victory in the $200,000 Listed Pioneer Services Rowley Mile (1600m) while riding Punch Lane, a horse trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman.

Clark, who previously won the event in 2017 and 2019, noted that Punch Lane performs well on rain-affected tracks and that the mile distance is suitable. Punch Lane recently finished fourth in the Winter Challenge at Rosehill.

In addition to the Rowley Mile, Clark has several other scheduled rides, including Tempestuous in the Peter Smith Memorial Super Maiden Plate at Hawkesbury, Esquire in the Happy Retirement Adam Carney Maiden Plate, and two mounts for trainer Sara Ryan: Master Zous and Galactic Force.
