Tim Cook chairs Tsinghua University advisory board meeting in Beijing

Apple CEO Tim Cook arrived at Tsinghua University in Beijing to chair the 2026 meeting of the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management Advisory Board. The two-day event, held on October 13 and 14, brings together prominent global technology and finance leaders.

This year, the committee welcomed three new members: NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su, and Patek Philippe Senior Managing Partner Patek Ming. Other notable existing members include Elon Musk of Tesla, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, alongside executives from JPMorgan Chase, Blackstone, and Citigroup.

Students at the university reported sightings of Cook near the School of Economics and Management building, where he waved and gestured to onlookers. The advisory board, established in October 2000, serves to provide strategic advice for the school's development and to facilitate connections between academic research and industrial practice.
