Tim Cook sells $63.8 million in Apple stock

Apple executive chair Tim Cook sold approximately $63.8 million worth of Apple stock on October 2, 2026. The sale consisted of 191,753 shares traded at prices between $330.66 and $334.50.

The transactions were executed under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted by Cook on May 28, 2026. This sale occurred one day after 374,541 restricted stock units (RSUs) vested as part of his compensation package. The vesting was based on Apple’s total shareholder return relative to other S&P 500 companies from fiscal 2024 through fiscal 2026, a period during which Apple saw a 90.67% return.

To cover tax withholding requirements related to the RSU vesting, Apple withheld 199,038 shares, valued at approximately $65.7 million. Additionally, Cook gifted 26,325 shares on October 2, though the recipient was not disclosed in the SEC filing. Following these transactions, Cook’s trust maintains a holding of 3,237,843 Apple shares.
