Tim Curry, star of ‘Home Alone 2’ and ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’, dies at 80

British actor Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80 at his home in Los Angeles. Curry, known for his versatile performances across comedy, horror, and musical theater, had been battling health issues for over a decade following a major stroke in 2012.

Curry achieved global cult status for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ and was widely recognized for his portrayal of the hotel manager in ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’. His diverse filmography also included roles in ‘Clue’ and as the clown Pennywise in the ‘It’ franchise.

His passing follows the deaths of other ‘Home Alone 2’ cast members earlier this year, including Brenda Fricker and Catherine O'Hare, leading to discussions among fans regarding the cast of the holiday sequel.
