Tim Davies announces departure from Today show after seven years
Tim Davies, the weatherman for the Today show, announced on Friday morning that he is leaving the program after seven years. Davies stated that he intends to take a break and prepare for his next adventure.
Nine spokesperson confirmed that Davies was not sacked. Steven Burling, Nine’s director of morning television, praised Davies as a much loved team member who leaves a significant void.
The departure occurs during a period of transition for the breakfast show. The program has faced rating challenges following the June dismissal of longtime host Karl Stefanovic, who was removed after interviewing Tommy Robinson on his podcast. Additionally, co-host Sarah Abo is currently on maternity leave, though her return is expected.
