Tim Finchem diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease
Former PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, according to a letter from his wife, Holly Finchem, published by Global Golf Post.
Finchem, 79, led the PGA Tour for 22 years, serving as commissioner from 1994 until his retirement in 2016. During his tenure, he oversaw a period of significant financial expansion for professional golf. In addition to his role at the PGA Tour, Finchem has served as the Chairman of the World Golf Foundation Board of Directors.
