Tim Hortons rolls out Harry Potter-themed menu across Canada

Tim Hortons is introducing a Harry Potter‑themed lineup in Canada beginning 12 August. The promotion includes four house‑colored donuts—Strawberry Cheesecake for Gryffindor, Chocolate Pistachio for Slytherin, Blueberry for Ravenclaw and Lemon Meringue for Hufflepuff—as well as a Golden Snitch Caramel Timbit and a limited‑edition Golden Snitch Timbits holder. New drinks, such as the Patronus Sparkling Quencher and Forbidden Forest Iced Tea Quencher, are served in cups that reveal a trail of Patronus silhouettes when chilled, and a colour‑changing stir wand mimics a Patronus charm.

Participating locations will also carry special merchandise, gift cards, and packaging celebrating the franchise’s 25th anniversary and the “Back to Hogwarts” event. A Harry Potter trivia night is scheduled for 28 August, and a contest runs from 17 August to 6 September for customers who scan their purchases via the Tims Rewards app.

The launch has drawn criticism from advocacy group Egale Canada, which argues that partnering with a franchise linked to author J.K. Rowling—who has expressed anti‑trans views—could harm transgender and gender‑diverse communities. Tim Hortons’ chief marketing officer Hope Bagozzi defended the collaboration, emphasizing the brand’s long‑standing connection with Canadian fans.
