Tim of Xutos & Pontapés Hospitalized After Dehydration at Concert

Tim, the 66‑year‑old vocalist and bassist of Portuguese rock band Xutos & Pontapés, suffered a severe episode of dehydration at the end of a concert in Penamacor on 2 August. He was assisted on‑site by local firefighters and the INEM emergency team before being taken to Hospital Amato Lusitano in Castelo Branco, where he was stabilised, observed and later discharged.

This is the second health incident for the singer; in 2022 he was hospitalised in Santarém after feeling ill, which forced the cancellation of a scheduled show. Following the recent episode, the band thanked fans for their support and the medical personnel for their prompt assistance.
