Tim Tebow pauses relationship with Life Surge amid financial scam allegations

Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has paused his relationship with the Christian organization Life Surge following an investigation by journalist Pablo Torre into the group’s financial programs. Tebow stated that the allegations are “extremely, extremely serious” and that his team is conducting an investigation to understand the facts.

Life Surge hosts events featuring Christian speakers and entertainers, often charging low entry fees for one-day sessions. However, attendees are subsequently pitched expensive “impact classes” and “SurgeU” courses, which promise to teach wealth-building through real estate and trade. These packages can cost between $10,000 and $40,000, and the organization reportedly connects participants with third-party lenders to fund the costs.

Critics and investigators allege the organization engages in predatory practices, pressuring attendees—many of whom may be financially undereducated—into high-cost programs that fail to deliver expected results. The investigation has raised questions regarding the use of prominent Christian personalities' names and images to promote these financial schemes.
