Tim Tszyu targets world title bout with Erislandy Lara after Spence victory

Australian middle‑weight champion Tim Tszyu defeated former welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. by unanimous decision on July 25, a win that raised his profile in the boxing world. Following the victory, Tszyu announced his desire to challenge WBA middleweight champion Erislandy Lara for a world title, with promoter George Rose indicating the fight could be staged in Sydney or elsewhere in Australia.

A rematch with Jermell Charlo is also being discussed, though Charlo has previously pulled out of scheduled fights with Tszyu. Tszyu confirmed he will continue competing at 160 lb, ending his stint at 154 lb, regardless of which opponent he faces next.
