Timbé do Sul cancels September 7 parade following child's death

The municipality of Timbé do Sul, located in the state of Santa Catarina, has canceled its planned September 7 civic parade due to local mourning following the sudden death of an eight-year-old student.

Leonardo Donadel de Souza, a third-year student at Frei Modesto school, passed away after suffering a systemic infection. According to family reports, the child had injured his foot earlier in the week. Despite being treated and released from a hospital, he developed a bacterial infection that led to cardiac arrest. The local community has organized prayer chains in response to the loss.
