Timbó hosts CPR Day awareness event

The State Health Secretariat (SES), through the Blumenau Regional Health Management, held 'RCP Day' (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Day) in Timbó. The event aimed to train and sensitize the population to recognize cardiorespiratory arrest and perform immediate life-saving maneuvers.

Participants engaged in practical and educational activities focused on the importance of chest compressions. Officials noted that early intervention before specialized teams arrive can double or even triple survival chances. The initiative was organized in partnership with the Municipal Health Secretariat and involved various security and emergency agencies, including the Brazilian Army, State Civil Defense, Military Police, Municipal Guard, Civil Police, and the Fire Department.
