Time Machine 3-go recalls career-defining pressure on variety show

Comedian duo Time Machine 3-go, consisting of Koji Yamamoto and Seki Seki, appeared as VIP challengers on the Nippon TV variety program ‘Gochi ni Narimasu’. During the broadcast, the duo reflected on a highly stressful period in their careers from 18 years ago.

They identified their appearance on the New Year's Eve comedy program ‘Omoshiro-so’ as the most pressured moment of their professional lives. Seki recalled that their performances were unsuccessful and they felt they were spinning their wheels due to inexperience. Yamamoto noted that upon watching the broadcast later, they realized their post-performance discussions were entirely omitted from the air, describing the experience as so shocking that they lost nearly three months of memory surrounding the event.

The episode also featured personal revelations, including Seki’s upbringing in Gunma Prefecture, where he grew up eating wild boar and bear hunted by his grandfather, and Yamamoto’s lifestyle as a single man with an extensive collection of houseplants.
