Time Magazine releases list of 100 most influential people in AI

Time Magazine has released its list of the 100 most influential people in the field of artificial intelligence. The selection has drawn attention due to the absence of Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, despite the company’s processors being essential to the current AI boom and the infrastructure used to train models like ChatGPT.

While major tech figures such as Sam Altman, Elon Musk, and Dario Amodei were included in the “Leaders” category, other prominent industry leaders like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and DeepMind founder Demis Hassabis were also omitted.

In contrast to the absence of traditional tech giants, the list includes figures from outside the core technology industry, such as actor Ben Affleck, following the 2022 founding of his company InterPositive, which develops AI tools for the film industry, and Paris Hilton.
