Neos Kosmos named coolest neighborhood in Europe

The Neos Kosmos neighborhood in Athens has been named the coolest neighborhood in Europe and ranked third globally in Time Out’s 2026 list of the 40 coolest neighborhoods in the world. The selection, made by a global network of contributors, evaluates areas based on food and drink, nightlife, unique local businesses, quality of life, and community feel.

Neos Kosmos is recognized for its multicultural landscape, where traditional bakeries exist alongside Armenian eateries and Thai cuisine. A significant driver of the area's energy is Onassis Stegi, a cultural center hosting contemporary Greek art exhibitions and a rooftop restaurant. Other notable mentions in the region include Teras, a bar known for its ‘buy local’ approach, and the Russafa district in Valencia, which ranked fourth in Europe.
