Timekettle launches W4 Plus AI translation earbuds on Makuake

Timekettle has launched a pre-order crowdfunding campaign on Makuake for its latest AI translation earbuds, the W4 Plus. The device is designed to facilitate seamless communication through several modes, including one-on-one real-time interpretation, switchable interpretation for meetings, call translation for web conferences, and audio/video translation with subtitles.

The W4 Plus utilizes the proprietary Babel OS 3.0 to provide context-aware translations and specialized terminology support for sectors such as IT, manufacturing, energy, and medical/bio industries. A key feature is its dual-function AI summarization: it provides real-time summaries during conversations and generates comprehensive AI meeting minutes once a session concludes.

To ensure accuracy in noisy environments like cafes or airports, the earbuds feature bone conduction sensors and dual microphones combined with the VoiceFocus algorithm. The device supports 52 languages and 106 accents online, with 13 language pairs available offline. Notably, the Makuake campaign offers a one-time purchase model that includes all features without requiring additional monthly subscription fees.
