Timeless Museum of Larissa to host screening of ‘The Desert of the Tartars’

The annual Cinema Nights at the Timeless Museum of Larissa will conclude on Wednesday, September 2. The event is organized by the Larissa Ephorate of Antiquities in collaboration with the Friends of the Timeless Museum of Larissa Association.

The screening, presented by the Ennio Morricone Music Friends Cultural Association of Greece, will feature the 1976 film ‘Il deserto dei Tartari’ (The Desert of the Tartars), directed by Valerio Zurlini with music by Ennio Morricone. The film, a co-production between Italy, France, and Iran, features an international cast including Jacques Perrin, Vittorio Gassman, and Max Von Sydow.

Based on the novel by Dino Buzzati, the drama follows a lieutenant stationed at an isolated desert fort awaiting a potential invasion. The screening is scheduled for 21:30 and admission is free.
