Timewalk Exhibition Brings Ancient Civilisations to Life in London

DEM Müzecilik opened the Timewalk Exhibition at Immerse LDN in London, offering a multi‑sensory journey through Göbeklitepe, Babylon, ancient Egypt, the Maya and Rapa Nui. Developed over two and a half years by more than 250 historians, designers, architects, engineers and technologists, the show uses visual‑projection, spatial sound and digital storytelling to let visitors walk inside recreated ancient sites. The exhibition provides audio guides in 25 languages and a child‑focused narration.

The opening ceremony was attended by Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor for Business and Growth, who praised the project’s cultural importance, and DEM Müzecilik leaders Mehmet Uğur Esin and CEO Eda Bildiricioğlu, who described the exhibit as a new cultural bridge linking Turkey’s heritage with a global audience. Academic advisors such as Laurence Blair, Dr. Edward Scrivens and Professor Eleanor Robson highlighted the scientific rigour behind the experience. The organisers plan to take the exhibition to other cities worldwide.
